How to use Latanoprost eye drops?

  • The suggested therapy of Latanoprost is one eye drop in the affected eye(s) one time every day. The best possible effect is achieved if this ophthalmic solution is administered in the evening.
  • First and foremost thing before applying Latanoprost is wash your hands well before and after using this eye drop.
  • Incline your head back slightly. Pull your lower eyelid away from the eye using your index finger to form a small pouch. Drop one drop of Latanoprost into the pouch and lightly close your eyes. Instantly apply pressure to the inside corner of the eyelid for 1 to 2 minutes by using your finger. Avoid blinking your eyes. Any additional medication should be wiped out with a clean, dry tissue, being cautious not to touch your eye. After application of the eye clean your hands well to eliminate any medicine that may be on them.

What happens in case of overdose?

The dosage of Latanoprost ophthalmic solution must not exceed one time every day because it has been revealed that more regular administration reduces the intraocular pressure lowering effect.

What are the possible side effects associated with the use of Latanoprost eye drops?

Common side effects connected with the use of Latanoprost eye drops include eye burning, dryness, stinging or itching; blurred vision; cold signs and symptoms; alterations in eyelash growth; sensation of having something in your eye; and enhanced production of tears.

What are the safety measures to be followed while using Latanoprost eye drops?
